For the energetic types there is a popular local sport you may want to try. Paddle is a game similar to tennis, but with a bit of squash thrown in. The court is smaller and has walls on the back and part of the sides. Also the raquet used looks more like a beach ball bat than anything else.Paddle Court The Spanish wikipedia entry translates roughly as follows:

"Padél (previously known as paddle tennis) is a sport similar to tennis roughly practised since 1990.

The game is generally played between four players (2 against 2) on a court that has artificial grass. The dimensions of the court are 10 metres wide and 20 metres long and the perimeter is surrounded by walls on the back and front and a metal fence on the sides. The main difference from tennis is that the ball is allowed to bounce off the solid walls after the first bounce as long as the ball is hit before bouncing again.

The game is different from the similarly named games that are played in the United States.

The countries that play Padél are: Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, and to a lesser extent in France, Italy, USA and Canada."
