Buenos Aires is fortunate to be blessed with great weather. From Spring through to Fall/Autumn it is great to spend some time outside. One of the nicest parks in the city is the Parque Las Heras. After a bit of shopping in the nearby mall Alto Palermo it's a great place to take a break.
How to get there: The park is less than 20 blocks from the hostel, making it a pleasant walk. If you're not up for it bus #39 takes you there or a cab ride should cost around 5 pesos.
Other details: The Alto Palermo shopping centre is just around the corner. If you want to buy picnic supplies, there is a Disco on Bulnes between the park and Ave. Santa Fe. Otherwise you can get super panchos on the side of the park along Colonel Diaz.
